In 1908 the Institute for Social and Affordable Housing (Istituto per le Case Popolari ed Economiche) was founded, and it represented the first experiment of participation in a social housing project by the Milan Local Administration, today called ALER. In over one hundred years of activity, the company has provided a great contribution to the development of the city and its Province, and it developed into one of the main building societies in Europe.

The celebrations for the centenary of the company are a perfect opportunity to pay homage to our long history and thoroughly promote the mission of ALER Milan: to re-launch the projects of public housing and Social Housing and heal the urbanistic fractures in collaboration with all the development bodies and with the participation of citizens.
